Begin production of the patented Stephan Universal Machine
for meat cutting, bakery & dough processing, and kitchen processing.

1959
|
Product line expanded with the patented Stephan Microcut series
for the continuous finest cutting and emulsifying of meat and
food products.

1963
|
Introduction of Stephan Universal Machines for processed
cheese production with direct steam injection.

1965
|
Development and design of Stephan machines for
industrial application.

1976
|
Introduction of patented Stephan Combicut Machines for
industrial food processing.

1983
|
Evolution of special Stephan Vacuum Cookers, particularly
for production of jam and fruit preparation.

Introduction of Stephan Vacutherm for mixing, cooking and
emulsifying of convenience food, delicatessen and dairy products.

Development of the patented Stephan UHT and Continuous Cooker
Module System for continuous production of dairy and delicatessen
products with temperatures up to 145 degrees Celsius.

Stephan joins the Sympak Group

Theo Brandes new Managing Director of Stephan, coming from
Alfa Laval/TetraPak and GEA

2003

Creation of Sympak Process Engineering, to better fulfil
customers’ increasing demand for turn-key integrated processing
and packaging plants

Sympak has been awarded the biggest order in its history
(25 million Euro) for the supply of a turn-key plant for
process cheese production, including equipment supplying
by Stephan, Sympak Bottling & Canning – Sima Division,
Corazza and automation by Sympak Process Engineering

2004

Stephan Machinery Corp. (Stephan subs in the US) merges with
BC International Inc. and Sympak North America Inc. to create
Sympak Inc. in Mundelein – IL.

2005
|
At Interpack show in Duesseldorf Stephan presents some new
equipment: Cook-it, Vacutherm, UHT Module System
|

2005
|
Spin-off of Stephan Food Service Equipment, manufacturing
Stephan Universal Machines in the range from 5 to 60 l
for Handicraft and Ho.RE.Ca. business and dfor R&D Laboratories,
while Stephan continues to concentrate on the industrial customers.
